Is it fair that the enjoyment of many should rely on the goodwill of a few?
Being part of a sports club not only gives a sense of belonging, but also brings together a diverse collection of skills, talents & personalities. When these are all added together the result is a very strong team capable of high acheivement.

In a club this size there are many jobs to be done, some on a regular basis & others once a year or one-off jobs.

By having a volunteer bank we know which members can be called upon for specific tasks, we have enough members to ensure if everyone volunteers just once, no-one is stuck with 'a job for life'. A volunteer is never obliged to carry out any tasks they do not wish to, neither is anyone expected to operate alone, but as part of a team.
