

Cruiser Lift In - Friday 27th March 2026
The Cruiser Lift-In will take place on Friday 27th March. The crane will arrive at 08:00 so crew should be there to help move dinghy's and organise their boats ready to lift. There will be Coffee and Bacon sandwiches available to order in the clubhouse. High water is at 10:30 so hopefully lifting will start as soon as the crane is set up. Cruiser racing will start on Wednesday 18:30 1st April.


CRUISER OOD REFRESHER TRAINING
There will be an OOD training session at the yacht club on Wednesday 25th March 2026 starting at 19:30. The course will cover all aspects of OOD's duties and is open to everyone. Skippers and crew are invited. The more the merrier. The intension is that although a boat may be nominated to do a specific OOD duty any member of the crew can do it and still allow the boat to take part in the race. KITCHEN MAKEOVER
We are having a 2026 kitchen makeover and have a team working hard to get a new & shiny kitchen for the year ahead, we don’t have an exact opening day as yet, but Natalie and her team look forward to welcoming you all back with open arms very soon. Just a reminder NO SUNDAY LUNCHES for a few weeks.


CRUISER S MARK has moved
The cruiser yellow S marker buoy has had a hard time with the stormy conditions over this winter and has moved . Unsurprisingly this mark is more exposed away from shore in the Tees Channel and presumably due to severe waves has drifted to the SW by about 1/4nml. The current position is : 54 39.175N 01 08.993W We are continuously monitoring it's position in case it moves further. All the other marks are in position. THYC S mark


WINTER SERIES FINALE
The 2025/26 Winter Series will reach it's conclusion on Sunday 15th February with that final race. The cancelled race 4 was the only race so far which hasn't been favourable weather. There was a record entry this year with 35 boats entered and more than 24 boats turning out consistently for every race. The Fleet was split into 2 classes dependant on rating and ranged from a MG346, SB20s to a 24ft H Boat. The races were all around 90 minutes duration with separate courses for


Cruise to Northumberland in 2026
2026 is going to be like no other year. No one knows what this year has in store for us but what we do know is that as soon as we are able to everyone is going to get out there to enjoy the freedom outdoors. It is far too early to be able to make any plans but we can dream and formulate the outlines of a plan. To this end we are looking to cruise into Northumberland and visit many beautiful sites that are on our doorstep; Amble, Coquet, Seahouses, the Farne Islands, Holy Isla
