Cruising from Hartlepool

Hartlepool is the ideally located for trips to any of the North East ports from Scarborough to Amble. Most can be accessed at all states of tide and have excellent marina facilities.
Sailing a little further Grimsby or the Farnes Islands are still within a days sail.

Our cruising section join the racers at the other Yacht Club events throughout the year to get discounted moorings and enjoy the social gathering after racing. They also programme a series of cruiser meets allowing independent passage and social gathering.

For the more adventurous, cruise the North East coast to the Farne Islands, onto the Forth, the Caladonian Canal and the Scottish Western Isles.
Crossing the North Sea, Ijmuiden and Den Helder are good ports of call leading into the Dutch canals.

Scarborough Yacht Club organise a North Sea Race each year. See 'NECRA'
